KETO DESSERTS AND BAKES - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Updated: Jan 15, 2022
When you think about being on a diet, you do not usually associate indulgent desserts as a possible part of your meal plan. With the ketogenic (keto) diet, it most certainly can!
Let us look at what makes keto desserts and baked goods different from the usual ones you have been familiar with.
NO SUGAR AND WHEAT
First and most importantly, there is no use of sugar, honey and any such sweetening ingredients. Next, the traditional wheat flour is not used, which means that many keto desserts and bakes are gluten free. As these are the common building blocks of many desserts and bakes, let us look at the keto friendly replacements and common ingredients that are being used to achieve the same high quality and indulgence of our favourite treats.
